The South Fork Reservoir Stewardship Task Force (SFRSTF), appointed by the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, Albemarle County Service Authority, Charlottesville City Council and the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority, is seeking public input regarding the South Fork Rivanna Reservoir. The Task Force, chaired by Albemarle County Supervisor Sally Thomas, wants to determine the community’s “expectations for the future” of the Reservoir.
There has been a vocal group of citizens advocating the reexamination of the potential of dredging the South Fork Rivanna Reservoir as an alternative to the currently proposed expansion of the Ragged Mountain Reservoir.
The SFRSTF has prepared an online questionnaire to efficiently gather public opinion. The questionnaire is available here. This unscientific (as it is self selected) survey will provide just one of the many public input data points for the Task Force to consider.
The Free Enterprise Forum encourages anyone with an interest in the South Fork Rivanna Reservoir to answer this call for online citizen participation.
